Economics applies to nearly every aspect of modern life, so investing in a solid education on the subject pays off. UNB’s economics graduate program combines evidence-based research with courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and quantitative methods. The program allows students to develop calculated problem-solving skills and analyze complex real-world trends, labor markets, demographics, and more.
Our students have the unique opportunity to work with the New Brunswick Institute of Research, Data and Training (NB-IRDT) and under the leadership of the Vaughan Chair in Regional Economics in UNB’s Policy Studies Centre. Graduates go on to work in public and private banks, insurance companies, accountancy firms, local and national government, and think-tanks.
