You will not find any ECVS content in these questions, nor will all of these question types necessarily be usedin the ECVS exam.

Important note:Please note that a selection of questions has been madeavailable for the mock exams to demonstrate the variety ofquestion types you will encounter. You will not necessarilyfind entire cases or strictly consecutive questions in the mockexams.

The row of circles indicates where in the exam you are. The total number of circles indicates the total number of questions.*)Empty circles mean unanswered questions. Completedquestions are marked with a full circle. The question you arecurrently working is marked with an orange circle.

Questions can be marked as ‚uncertain‘ (Practical only) and returned to later. Uncertain questions are markedwith a ? in a purple circle in the row of circles at the top.

Font size canbe varied.

The SA case-based mock exam has 2 cases with a total of 13 questions. Youare on question 1 of case 1, which has6 questions (question group = case).

Finding your way around the screen

Images

Images can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Enlarged images fill the entire screen.

Click the ‚X‘ toreturn the imageto preview size.

Mouse-over a part of theimage to zoom in on it. To leave the zoom view, move your mouse outside of the image.

Images

If a question has several images, these will appear in vertical order on the left with oneshown in the preview window.

To bring up another image in the previewwindow, click on it. Enlarge images to full-screen size as explained on the previous slide.

Videos

Videos can be enlarged tofull-screen size with the

arrows icon in the top rightcorner.

Click the ‚X‘ toreturn the videoto preview size.

Scroll bar to move back andforth. You can scroll both in

preview and in full-screen mode.

Use this button to switch betweenrunning the video once or in a loop.

This question has an image and a video.

Switch between imageand video by clicking

on the respective icon.

Use these formatting elements to edityour answer. Remember that we do not expect you to format your answer textbeyond strictly necessary formatting

such as super- and subscript!

Moving between questions

In order to be able to move forward in the case-based exam, you need to enter text in the answertext field, even if only X. You will not be able tomove forward without having entered any text at all.

In the case-based exam, you will see this warning when moving to the nextquestion.• If you are not sure about your answer and would like to review it once more,

click ‚cancel‘ to get back to the question and be able to change your answer.• If you definitely wish to move on to the next question, click ‚yes, complete

question‘. The next screen will show the next question. You will not be able togo back and review your answer once you have moved on to the next question.

• If you click ‚no, skip question group‘ you will leave the case and be brought tothe Overview. You can return to the case later, but not review already givenanswers, only proceed with unanswered questions.

Moving between questions

The Overview: Case-based

At any time during theexam you can click the

‚Overview‘ button.

In the case-based exam, the Overview will show the first question ofeach case. Subsequent questions are only shown if they have alreadybeen answered.

Via the Overview, you can choose freely which case in a session youwant to start with.

Case 1 has not yet been started; it shows only the very first question. You can start working on case 1 by clicking on the first question. Subsequent questions cannot be accessed directly.

Case 2 has been started, and the answered questions are visible in theOverview (marked with a full circle). Question 9 has not yet beenanswered (marked with an empty circle), but is visible because theprevious questions in this case have been completed. Question 10 below that will not be visible.

To continue working on case 2, access question 9 directly.

The Overview: Practical

In the practical exam, the Overview will show all questions. You canaccess each question directly by clicking on it.

You can use thesefilters to show onlyopen, answered,

uncertain questions.

All questions are visible.• Question 2 has been answered (marked with a full circle).• Questions 1, 5, and 6 have been marked uncertain (marked with a ?

in a purple circle).• Questions 3, 4, and 7 have not yet been answered (marked with an

empty circle).

Clicking this button will bring you to the first

unanswered question(in this case question 3).

Finishing the Exam

When you are done, click ‚Finish exam‘.

If there are any unanswered or only partly answeredquestions, the platform will ask you to confirm thatyou still wish to finish. Or you can return to work on the unfinished questions.
