EDB Portal Setup guide

How do I assign roles (and Sub-UEN if required) on CorpPass, in order to access the EDB Portal? Please click here for more information on how to:

1. Step 1: Set up access for your entity to EDB Portal 2. Step 2: Assign roles and Sub-UEN (manufacturing survey

respondents only) to the relevant CorpPass users

I have been assigned a role, but after logging in I am not able to submit claims/acknowledge letters/submit documents. You may have an incorrect role. For example – only Submitters and Acceptors can submit documents/APU, and only roles with the AllowClaim label can access claims. Please click here for more information on how to amend your role on CorpPass.

I am managing an incentive/grant on the EDB Portal. What are the available roles on the EDB Portal? Please click here for more information. Note: To submit documents/Annual Progress Update, please choose either the Submitter or Acceptor roles. To submit/view claims, please choose a claim with the ‘AllowClaim’ label.

I am submitting manufacturing surveys only. What role do I need? All roles can submit manufacturing surveys, so any role may be selected (i.e. Preparer, Submitter, Acceptor, etc.). However, you need to assign your users a Sub-UEN – please click here for more information on this.

What is the Sub-UEN? Please click here for more information. A sub-UEN is only required if your company is required to submit manufacturing surveys. If your company does not submit manufacturing surveys, it may be left blank.

I need to both prepare and submit documents. Should I assign myself two roles? Please note that users should ONLY be assigned one role on CorpPass, because each role has multiple functions – e.g. Submitter can prepare AND submit documents, an Acceptor can prepare, submit AND accept documents. (Note: All roles can submit manufacturing surveys)

I see ‘Invalid Login’. What should I do? It is possible that you have logged in with the wrong CorpPass account (if so, please log in with the correct account) or your Sub-UEN has not been assigned (this is relevant to manufacturing survey respondents only – please click here for more information on the Sub-UEN)

I have been notified that I have multiple roles on the EDB Portal. How do I remove them? Please click here for more information on how to remove additional roles.

For further assistance, you may fill up a support request here or contact the Portal support team at +65 6832 6065

Additional Notes:

- A Sub-UEN is only required for manufacturing survey respondents (e.g. Monthly Survey of Manufacturing Activities, Census

of Manufacturing Activities).

- In order to set up access to the EDB Portal, you will need to have a CorpPass account. If you do not have one, your CorpPass

Admin will have to create one. Click here for the CorpPass FAQs.

- To ensure that you can successfully login, please ensure that: you are using a CorpPass Account (i) for the correct UEN; and

(ii) with the correct Sub-UEN number(s) assigned (Sub-UEN is required for manufacturing survey respondents only)

- If you are not sure who your CorpPass administrator is, click here.

- ‘CorpPass Administrator’ refers to either a CorpPass administrator or sub-administrator

What are the EDB Portal roles? CorpPass users logging into the Portal will need to be assigned one of 7 possible roles. Each role will have a different level of access

to EDB Portal services, as shown in the table below:

1. Please assign only one role to each CorpPass user account. Do not assign multiple roles to each user

2. For grant recipients, use the ‘AllowClaim’ roles to manage access to your company’s claim documents. Roles without the

AllowClaim label e.g. Preparer, Submitter, Acceptor cannot access claim documents

3. Only the Submitter and Acceptor roles can submit documents.

4. Only the Acceptor role can acknowledge/accept award letters from EDB

Functions (each role has more than one function, so there is no need to assign multiple roles to each user)

What is the Sub-UEN?

A Sub-UEN is a 5 digit number (e.g. 00-000) for manufacturing survey respondents only; if your company does not submit

manufacturing surveys, you need not fill out Sub-UEN.

You may refer to the relevant survey notifications from EDB for your entity’s Sub-UEN(s). One entity may have multiple Sub-UENs.

For clarifications, please reach out to [email protected].

There are two steps to setting up the Sub-UEN.

Step 1: Add the Sub-UEN to the entity

Step 2: Assign the Sub-UEN to the relevant users (Step 1 needs to be completed before the Sub-UEN can be added to the relevant

users)

For new users: Please click here for a guide on how to set up access for your entity to the EDB Portal, and to assign a role and Sub-

UEN to a new user.

For existing users: Please click here for a guide on how to add a Sub-UEN and here for how to edit an existing user’s access to add a

new Sub-UEN or change that user’s role.

Setting up access to the EDB Portal

Step 1: Select EDB Portal as an e-service that your entity will use

Step 1: Navigate to “Select Entity’s E-services”

Page 7: EDB Portal Setup guide · What are the EDB Portal roles? CorpPass users logging into the Portal will need to be assigned one of 7 possible roles. Each role will have a different level

Step 2: Search for EDB Portal and add EDB-Portal to your entity’s list of e-services

Page 8: EDB Portal Setup guide · What are the EDB Portal roles? CorpPass users logging into the Portal will need to be assigned one of 7 possible roles. Each role will have a different level

[Note: Sub-UEN is for manufacturing survey respondents only; if your company is an incentive/grant recipient

only, you need not fill out Sub-UEN]

Step 3: Enter any Sub-UEN if required

Page 9: EDB Portal Setup guide · What are the EDB Portal roles? CorpPass users logging into the Portal will need to be assigned one of 7 possible roles. Each role will have a different level

You may refer to the relevant survey notifications from EDB for your entity’s Sub-UEN(s). One entity may have multiple Sub-UENs.

For clarifications, please reach out to [email protected].

This is the SUB-UEN only, and does not refer to your entity’s full UEN.

You may also ‘Add New’ Sub-UEN under each of the 4 field (e.g. Sub UEN, Sub UEN 1, 2, 3) in order to create a drop down menu of

multiple Sub-UENs for each field that your CorpPass admin can select from when assigning Sub-UEN(s) to each user account (if you do

not require a drop down menu, you can ignore the ‘Add New’ button, and just enter 1 Sub-UEN in each of the 4 fields (i.e. Sub UEN,

Sub UEN 1, Sub UEN 2, Sub UEN 3)

Page 10: EDB Portal Setup guide · What are the EDB Portal roles? CorpPass users logging into the Portal will need to be assigned one of 7 possible roles. Each role will have a different level

The previous step must be completed first, so that when assigning your CorpPass users a Sub-UEN (shown below), your CorpPass

administrator will then be able to select from the Sub-UENs added in the previous step (The screenshot below is from the next phase

of the process - assigning roles and Sub-UENs to your CorpPass users).

If you do not add the Sub-UEN to your entity, you will not be able to assign it to your users.

You can then review and confirm your submission.

I see ‘Invalid Login’. What should I do?

If you encounter the error message above, it is possible that you have logged in with the wrong CorpPass account (if so, please log in with the

correct account) or your Sub-UEN has not been assigned (manufacturing survey respondents only – please click here for more information on

how to assign a Sub-UEN).

If you still face issues, please fill up a support request here or contact the Portal support team at +65 6832 6065

I encounter an error message stating that I have been assigned multiple

roles – how do I remove them?

If you have been assigned multiple roles on CorpPass, you will see an error message as follows:

Page 30: EDB Portal Setup guide · What are the EDB Portal roles? CorpPass users logging into the Portal will need to be assigned one of 7 possible roles. Each role will have a different level

Your CorpPass administrator will need to take the following steps:

- Select Manage User Accounts

- Select the relevant user

- Click Assigned E-Services

- Delete any additional roles (for example, in the screenshot below, the CorpPass administrator is deleting the Preparer role such that only

Submitter remains)
