Building the competitive edge for Bison Athletics

north Dakota state University Athletics has a strong, proud tradition of molding champions in the competitive arena, in the classroom and in life. our student-athletes consistently rate within the top echelons of academic rankings, as they thrill us with their excellence in sporting events.

to build nDsU’s competitive edge, a $32 million campaign is under way to finance a vital piece of Bison Athletics’ highly successful transition to ncAA Division i. Your efforts will fund important renovations and an addition to the Bison sports Arena, support an indoor track and multi-purpose training facility and complete the financing of the remodeled sunderland football offices and facilities at the fargodome.

the purpose is to bring together nDsU coaches, fans and athletes to complete an athletics complex fitting of a championship caliber institution. it will become a gathering place where student-athletes excel; alumni, fans and friends cheer; and pro-spective athletes and coaches recognize that nDsU is the place for them. expanded quality nDsU’s athletics facilities will be a focal point for ongoing success.

World-clAss competition ArenAsthe renovated and expanded Bison sports Arena will be a showcase, with comfortable seating, modern concessions areas, accommodating restrooms, new locker rooms, climate control and an improved sound system. these modernized facilities will enhance efforts to recruit talented student-athletes and coaches, and build the fan base for Bison athletics.

the nDsU men’s and women’s athletics programs will prosper as we work together to build the competitive edge.

Designed to be fan-friendly, the renovated Bison sports Arena and adjacent indoor track facility will parallel other outstanding additions to the campus. A 5,700-seat basketball arena and an eight-lane indoor track highlight this initiative. new exterior finishes, as well as a new “front door,” will welcome student-athletes and visitors into the hall of fame, hall of champions and an enclosed ticket purchase area. A two-court basketball practice facility will be added to the southwest corner of the existing structure. A west-side addition will house the human performance amenities, including strength training, sports medicine and rehabilitation areas. the athletic academic center will fortify the educational experience for our student-athletes.
