Year 5 & 6 Walk the Trail A walk and a talk with friends - that's what the Year 5 and 6

classes did last Thursday. With the Warburton Trail close

by, the two classes walked from Mt Evelyn to Wandin. It was

a time to enjoy nature, to keep up our fitness, to build

relationships, to start new friendships and, especially for the

Year 6’s, to mentor the Year 5’s in all things Upper Primary.

February is Library

Lovers’ Month Celebrate libraries and “uncover

something new”.

Edinburgh College Library is open to all students from

8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Families of students

are invited to join and borrow from our range of picture sto-

ries, magazines, audio books, DVDs, fiction and non-

fiction. A dedicated Parent Library has an extensive range

of parenting resources available for loan.

Students are also encouraged to join their local Eastern

Regional Library and senior students are advised to join

the State Library of Victoria. These libraries provide

on-line access to journals, databases, indexes and

ebooks that are valuable resources for study and leisure

purposes. While membership is not required to access

some resources, it is essential to access others. Joining up

is very quick and simple.

Eastern Regional Libraries – Library cards will be sent to

the school. Parents to complete the registration on the

dedicated Student Membership webpage at

INFLUENCE Matthew 5:13-16 (NIV) 13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness,

how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for any-

thing, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 You are

the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead

they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the

house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that

they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in

heaven.
