DST4L ndash the back story
Data Science Training for Librarians (DST4L) is a community founded by Christopher Erdmann back in 2011 while he was employed as Chief Librarian at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics Cambridge
The concept is practical hands-on training and development of skills for librarians working with data (cleaning managing sharing visualising)
Multiple workshops were held in the US before the concept came to Denmark in 2015 Teaching librarians to be data scientist - 2013

The reason DST4L training is important
In the good old days
ndash a programmer would write a program
ndash a user would use the program
ndash a statistician would analyze the data that the user produced with the program
ndash and a librarian would archive the report that the statistician created by analyzing the data
