The opening. For the opening of my film trailer, used a convention thatapplies to many film trailera after researching this using

youtube. This makes my trailer look professional and

I have then used a background in which my created filmproduction logo will fade on to.

By using the crossfade tool you can see that the imageappears onto the screen, giving my film trailer a professionallook, the lingering time spent on the fade also buildssuspenion for my film trailer.

By varying the time it takes for the image to fade on thescreen, means the image can appear as slow or quickly as Iwant it to, to best suit my trailer.

This is how the image appears after the effects.

Captions. For the captions we wanted continuity, therefore the samefont, the same background. However for the last two

captions using a different background seemed appropriate asit is the last aspect of the trailer the audience see, therefore ithad to be effective rather than easy reading so it would stickin the audiences mind. The use of captions build suspenseand help the audience to understand the trailer, this meant Ihad to ensure the wording and language would help theaudience understand the storyline as well as being effective. Ioften had to change the wording of my captions as they did

not make sense, after feedback my captions were thenchanged to make the trailer an improvement. Sticking to thegenre of action/horror I decided to use a black backgroundwith white writing so it would stand out and also connote thegenre action/thriller as they are dark bold colours, I havealso stuck to continuity by using the same font as my filmtitle so that the audience are aware of what film the trailermight be. By having the captions slowly flying in towards thescreen also builds suspension.

By altering the scale I could control how long I wanted thecaption to fade in for.

For the scenes of love I decided to use black and white toshow a contrast between reality and real life. In Ella Gatesview, good and bad.

For the first part of the trailer along with the slow music, I have matched the editing

as well as using effects such as dip to black and cross fade in order to give my trailer

a smooth run and match the music.

As the music changes to a sharp and quick tempo you can see I have not used dip toblack or cross fade. This is so that the editing fits in with the music and the climax

    builds up appearing more dynamic.

For editing the music I had to vary the volume so that it built up intensity and youcould here the dialogue. I Also used constant grain on audio transitions on my cut in

the music so the cut was not obvious. After starting out with three different music

tracks being; Linkin park, what Ive done, Ronan Hardiman, ancient lands andRequiem a dream, it was decided after feedback three was too many and therefore

    we deleted Linkin park.
