ND22 KUSO GLOBAL JADHAGA PARIVARTHANAI MELAThe 22nd Global Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela conducted by KUSO Marriage Bureau was

held on Sunday, 27.09.2015 at Kumara Vyasa Mandapam, Rajajinagar 4th Block, Bangalore - 560010.

With the prayer song by Sri P.M. Balaji, Committee Member, General SecretarySri T.S. Jayabalan declared the commencement of the proceedings of the mela. Initially amongst the parents who joined us in this Mela, Smt. G.A. Vijayalakshmi-Bangalore,Smt. N. Lakshmiprabha-Dindigul, Smt. K.S. Roopa-Chennai, Smt. Puliyadi Parameshwari-Madurai and Smt. Dhanalakshmi-Thanjavur lighted the lamp.

KUSO President Prof. N. Vasu, the chairperson of the mela, explained the purpose of this Global Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela in brief and made an appeal to the parents to follow simple formalities in settling the marriage alliance for their wards to avoid unnecessary delay and insisted to forget the minor differences existing among themselves in various towns and cities and requested to come closer to each other to reach early marriage settlements among themselves.

We observed that most of the applicants in this mela are graduates, working in public sector, govt. and private establishments.

General Secretary Sri T.S. Jayabalan and Joint Treasurer Sri R.R. Baskar announced the details of horoscopes of Nowran and Nowrin in the mela separately and introduced them on the stage along with their parents. On the big size digital screen, the details of Nowran / Nowrin, viz., name, date of birth, Raasi, Natchathiram, educational qualification, employment and income details and their expectations exhibited to enable the parents conveniently note down the details of horoscopes they wish to consider for their Nowran /

Kamalam Balaji were seen functioning in key positions of the Registration Counters to enable the visitor-parents to register the horoscopes of their wards. Our Madurai Committee Member Sri R.R. Sri P.K. Kubendran and Sri Rajan presented a small cash bag as a gift to all parents who came to attend this Mela and also to all KUSO Committee Members. Sri K.R. Gopinath-Partner, Sourashtra Time TV, shot the occasion and interviewed the participants of this Mela.

This Mela was advertised in Sourashtra Time TV and Sourashtra Voice TV in Madurai.Sri R.S.S. Nathan and Sri N.S.R. Santharam helped to advertise in Sourashtra Time TV.

After lunch and completion of the process of announcing the details of horoscopes on the stage, xerox copies of horoscopes were handed over to the parents as per their requirement. Later, they consulted with KUSO Astrologer Sri P.R. Surendran in matching the horoscopes.

The parents so assembled were also seen discussing with their counter - parts in connection with marriage alliance.

The parents who had participated in this mela were from Singapore, Thane-Maharashtra, Chittur-Andhra Pradesh, Chinthamani-Karnataka, Bengalore, Thiruvapur-Pudukkottai, Hosur, Madurai, Ooty, Trichy, Salem, Chennai, Kumbakanam, Coimbatore, Walajapet, Palayamkottai and had registered the horoscopes of their children. The applicants who work in Durban-South Africa, Florida-USA, Iraq, and Saudi had also joined us in this mela.

Vadai and coffee as morning refreshments, mid-day lunch and mixture and tea as evening refreshments were provided to our visiting parents and their wards. With the vote of thanks by Committee Member Sri P.R. Gopinath, the 22nd Jadhaga Parivarthanai Mela ended successfully.

SHASHTIYABDA POORTHIThe Shashtiyabda Poorthi of Sri T.S.Jayabalan, General Secretary, KUSO and

Smt. Saroja Jayabalan was performed on Monday, 21-09-2015 at Thirukadaiyur Temple, by their children Sri T.J.Sathishkumar-Smt.Sheela, Sri T.J.Pradeepkumar-Smt. Saranya and Smt. J.Amutha-Sri M.N.Rajesh along with their children M.R.Disha, T.S.Manu, T.S.Manasvi and T.P.Prakruthi. Prior to that Ganapathi Homa was performed at his home on Saturday, 12-09-2015 and ‘Kula Deiva Vazhipadu’ was performed at Mambazhathurai and Ariyankavu (Kerala) on Tuesday, 15-09-2015.

this books exhibition on Saturday, 15th August 2015 at Vasantha Mantapam, Opposite to Pattai kovil, Salem. Dr. Rajagopal inaugurated the function by cutting the ribbon. Many writers, publishers, editors and reporters of many magazines participated in the function.

The welcome speech made by Sri Laguduva Sathish Kumar. Sri Jayaprakash was the special invitee. Sri Gavuna Renganayagulu, Dr. Laguduva Visalakshi, Nanda Rukmini Palsami, Achi Vasudevan, Nanda Krishnamachari, Boguluva Rajaram, Laguduva Ramakrishnan, Jatha Madavachari, Manni Sivakumar, Manikka Narayanan, Maluvathu Perumal Ayya, Kangeyam Ramachari, Pattanam Moham Boguluva Ramamurthy, Maluvadu Purushothaman, Rengappa, Krishnamachari, Undal Baskar, Poosi Ramesh spoke and introduced the press people.

87 students who came in the first three places in SSLC and +2 were awarded in the evening. Also awards were given to the students who scored the first marks in Tamil Sourashtra, sports etc. in memory of Amarar Poosi Seenivasan. The Salem Sourashtra Samooga Seva Sangam’s youth groups worked hard to organise this function successfully.

VASALINI - A STUDENT PRODIGYVasalini, aged 15 years was

the only student, selected from Tamil Nadu to confer with the Prime Minister of India, Modi in the context of Teacher's Day Celebration. The question raised by Vasalini and the answer given by Modi were t e l e c a s t t h r o u g h v i d e o conference. Crores of Indians and people in abroad witnessed the event.

Her achievement was extraordinary. At the age of 13 she went through successfully all India level Technical Information Exam and now she got admission in B.Tech course at Kalasalingam University College.

Sri S.R. Anantha Raman felt proud of the student prodigy Vasalini as she was the student of the IIPE Laxmi Raman Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tirunelveli studying in 9th standard. We congratulated Sri S.R. Anantha Raman who is the correspondent of the school and having the office of the Tamil Nadu Sourashtra Educationists Confederation as the General Secretary and also congratulate the teachers of the school. We wish long life to Vasalini and for her further achievement in future.

SAD DEMISESri K.V. Subburam, aged 76 expired on Tuesday the 1st September

2015 in Dindigul. He was the Executive Committee Member of Nagal Nagar Sourashtra Sabha, Dindigul. He is survived by three sons and two daughters.

Sri K.T. Suresh, aged 48, expired on Thursday the 24th September 2015 in Bangalore. He was the

brother of Sri K.T. Chandrashekar, Proprietor Chandra Printers (printer of Sonna Kodum Magazine). He is survived by a son.

KUSO office bearers and committee members expressed their condolences to the bereaved families.
