Everyone is welcome! BOARD MEETING 6:30 PM REGULAR MEETING 7:OO PM Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, alternating between the Adorni Center in Eureka 1011 Waterfront Drive, in odd numbered months and at The Clubhouse at The Meadows, 2520-90 Hubbard Lane, Eureka in even numbered months. No meeting in December. As I prepare to go to the UK to pick up my puppy, it’s hard for me to think about anything else. But there’s much to be done and we must keep plowing forward. Our annual shows is just a few weeks off! We will be discussing final details at the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, 6/17, so please try to be there. The breed/obedience/rally shows are Friday – Sunday, June 27th – 29th at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Ferndale and we will need lots of help with setup on Thursday, June 26th. You can pick up your show day parking passes when you come help with set up. Please join us throughout the three days and stick around to help tear down on the last day. We will hold ring practices every Sunday at 1pm at the fairgrounds until our show weekend. Everyone is welcome to come out and practice conformation, obedience, and/or rally with us. Also on the horizon are the agility match and trials Friday – Monday, July 18th – 21st. This year that weekend will also include a Barn Hunt Saturday and Sunday that will be preceded by some practice fun runs on Friday. Be sure to go to barnhunt.com to register for a BH number so that you can enter this event. AKC does recognize Barn Hunt titles! These events will require lots of help with setup at the soccer field with plenty of work to do throughout the weekend and help needed taking everything down and storing it for another year as things wind down on Monday afternoon. We are also looking at participating in Woofstock in August and the Farm Store Pet Fair in September. Hopefully all of my flights will come off as planned so that I can get home in time to chair our next meeting on June 17th at the Meadows Club House across from Myrtle Avenue Market with the Board meeting at 6:30 (all are welcome) and the membership meeting at 7:00. Be there or be square. Thank you to the hard working members who worked on our LCKC shed at the Ferndale Fairgrounds on 6/1. They patched, painted and cleaned so that we have a good space to store our equipment. Beverly

Have you heard? From Beverly Morgan Lewis:

Puck finished his RAT O title at the barn hunt in Santa Rosaon April 13. He did it in style with two first-place finishes. The dog has 2 1/2 minutes to complete all the elements foropen which includes finding two rats. For his third leg,Puck did it in 34 seconds. Proud of that boy! Also proud of the little Druid who finished his RAT Ntitle on the next day at the same trial. Both boys are moving up!!

In May, Druid and Puck were recognized by TDI as Active OutstandingVolunteers for accumulating over 150 therapy dog visit each.

From Sandra Gould:

Tippet earned his Nosework2 title on the first try! (Dallas OR)He is one of about 800 dogs, nationally, with this title. Very unusual for a dog to succeed the first try at this level. He also earned his Rally Advanced and a leg on Rally Excellent. (Gridley CA

From Tina Moulton:

On Sunday, June 8th, my Raya (Rovente’s Ray of Light at Jo-Na-Da) earnedher second 4 point major by going BOW at Woofstock in Vallejo. She and herbrother Riot are both figuring out this show stuff. Raya was more excited aboutgetting to roll in tortoise poop at Grandma Nona’s….
