Mission statement: The IJPORL disseminates ethical, peer reviewed clinical, evidenced based, epidemiological and basic science information concerning the care, cure, prevention and quality of life of all otorhinolaryngological and head and neck and communication diseases and disorders of children world wide. It encompasses all pertinent disciplines, professions and individuals with a need to know and is accomplished through print and electronic media. Published in cooperation with the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Otolaryngology and Bronchoesophagology, the Asociación Argentina de Otorrinolaringolog´ay Fonoaudiolog´a Pediátrica, the Association Franc¸aise d’Otorhinolaryngologie Pédiatrique, the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, the Australasian Society of Paediatric Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, the British Association for Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the Dutch/Flemish Working Group for Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the European Society for Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the Hungarian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Section on Pediatric Otorhino lar-yngology, the Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the Italian Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the Japan Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the Polish Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, the Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children.
Types of papers1. Papers reporting original results of clinical and basic fi ndings in any discipline of importance to the pediatric otorhinolaryngological community.2. Review Articles giving a survey, an evaluating and critical interpretation of recent clinical or research data in a particular fi eld of pediatric
otorhinolaryngology or on a specifi c problem or topic of interest within the scope of the journal.3. Instructive Case Reports will also be considered by the Editorial Board.4. Short communications concerning techniques and instrumentation in pediatric otorhinolaryngology, e.g. news of technical innovations or
problems, and warnings on potential hazards to the patient.5. Other types of publications such as Letters to the Editor, Clinical Notes, Technical Notes, Book Reviews, Announcements, Obituaries, etc. will
be published at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
