Abbreviations
In The Howling Tower, there were QCAs. In this book, QCA is an abbreviation for Quantity Counting Assistant. Abbreviations may have a full stop after the letters, for example Q.C.A., but sometimes, as in this book, they are written without. Whichever way you choose, you should be consistent.
Write these abbreviations in full.

The Howling Tower
by Michael Coleman
Imagine you are either Benjamin or Mops. You decide to call a meeting of all the humans in the Howling Tower. Draw up an agenda for the meeting, listing all the injustices you feel you are suffering and what you propose to do about them.
Injustices
Proposals
Now write a few sentences to open the meeting. Remember to write in the first person (I have called this meeting…) as if it is Benjamin or Mops writing.
Think about how strongly you feel about the life and death situation you are in and use language to persuade the other humans about the necessity of prompt action.

Draw a story board with captions for the main events in The Howling Tower. Decide whether your illustrations would be more effective in black and white or in colour.
