I’m Julie Ann Perey , 18 years of age. Living at Banaba Cerca, Indang Cavite.
I’m studying at Cavite State University taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English.
Educational Technology in a Nutshell
Technology comes from the greek word ‘‘ techne’’ which means craft or art.
Educational technology emphasizes communication skills and approaches to teaching and learning through the judicious use and integration of diverse media.
Educational technology is more than computers and networks.
Technology has been part of the learning process from the beginning, whether it was writing instruments, printed books, or audiovisual media.
Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.
The focus of Educational Technology is to have an effective processes to facilitate learning using technologies and understanding the impacts of technology on learners and organizations.
Educational technology is the considered implementation of appropriate tools, techniques, or processes that facilitate the application of senses, memory and cognition to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.
Educational Technology is the area of technology that deals with facilitating learning, which is the learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.
Educational Technology is the use of technology to improve the learning of the users.
There are four perspectives that define educational technology which are:
> Educational technology as media and audiovisual communications> Educational technology as instructional systems and instructional design> Educational technology as vocational training> Educational technology as computer systems
> Educational technology as media and audiovisual communications –it is the view of educational technology as media to deliver information continues to dominate areas of education and the communications industry.> Educational technology as instructional systems and instructional design it is the view which is based on the belief that both human (teachers) and nonhuman (media) resources could be part of an efficient system for addressing any instructional need.
> Educational technology as vocational training in this view the important function of school learning is to prepare students for the world of work in which they will use technology and that vocational training can be a practical means of teaching all content areas such as math, science, and language.
> Educational technology as computer systems as computers began to transform business and industry practices, both trainers and teachers began to see that computers also had the potential to aid instruction.

The use of computer in classroom is helpful, after taking up Edtech 1 and Edtech 2, I learn many things regarding the use of technology and the information about educational technology that would enhance my ability in preparing instructional materials for teaching in the near future . I also discover the different updated software that are very easy to install and at the same time it’s effective and useful for facilitating the learning.
One of the concepts that I learned is the computer as a communication tool where in I can encourage my future students also for us future teachers that it is possible to have learning just by merely communicating through computer, we can comment post and message in specific website , in that way we are sharing ideas to each other and acquiring learning. Another is the hypermedia where in it is nothing but a multimedia but this time it is packaged as an educational technology
Above all ,after everything that I discovered ,learned and acquired in Edtech 1 and Edtech 2 , I realize that through the right use of technology with the guidance of a facilitator we will be able to have an effective , interactive and collaborative learning in the classroom that will improve the learning of the students.

So this is the result , products or should I say outcomes of Edtech , the students are now aware and updated with the different technologies and use of this to gain more knowledge, to make their works much easier , to make the learning more interesting and more effective and to have an active interaction even with a long distance.
