Is It Happening?
According to National Geographic News the Earth is showing many signs of world wide climate change (www.nationalgeographic.com).
Average temperatures have increased 1.4 degrees Farenheit around the world, much of this occurred in recent decades (www.nationalgeographic.com).

Is It Happening?
Glaciers and Mountain tops are quickly melting. Thaws are coming a week earlier in the spring and freezes are beginning a week later than previously (www.news.nationalgeographic.com).

The Cause
Change in climatic conditions of the Earth can be due to various external and internal factors. These can be natural or man-made factors. Some of the natural causes are volcanic emissions and solar activity (D’Silva).

The Cause
Carbon Monoxide contributes around 12% of the greenhouse effect and methane gas causes 5% to 10% of global warming (D’Silva).

Prevention Plan
The main importance to prevention of Global Warming is to reduce the level of various gases into the environment. An easy way to do this is to reduce the amount of gasoline and oil into the air. An individual can easily do this by carpooling to places such as work or even for leisure nights out (Franklin).

Prevention Plan
A prevention tactic can also be using lighting in our homes that saves energy. It can help also by choosing various energy efficient appliances (Franklin).

Conclusion My first moment of surprise was learning that the
average temperature has increased by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit around the world. After further research I know that temperatures will only continue to increase.
It was also new to me that volcanic emissions are a natural cause to global warming. When I think of global warming I think of carbon monoxide and solar activity.
This presentation was my first time using hyperlinks in a power point so it was interesting learning how to do so.
