OBJECTIVES

- Critical knowledge and aplication the media literacy principles.

- To train the students in the use of mass media, computer and audivisual resources for the development of didactics units in Early Childhood

Education.

- To train the students as mass media prosumers.

- To understand mass media as a specific frame for families and school.

- To train the students as educommunicators.

CONTENT

1. Theory contents

- Introduction to media literacy.

- Media and computer literacy.

- Educative use of Internet.

- Design educative projects using ICT.

- Media and digital literacy in 0-6 years stage.

2. Practical contents

- Designing and producing educative projects with ICT.

- Reading and creating media texts.

General clarifications on instruments for evaluation:

All tests of each part must be passed. Marks will be valid until July.

To pass the subject the student must:

- achieve a mark of 5 in the theoretical parts of both terms.

- achieve a mark of 5 in the practical parts of both terms.

In September, the student must provide all the materials of the course as well as pass the exam about theoretical contents.

Clarifications on the methodology for part-time students and students with disabilities and special educational needs:

Students who do not attend frequently to the practical lessons, may be required to do an exam, if teachers consider it.

Qualifying criteria for obtaining honors: According to the maximum mark in the exam, practical works and attendance.
