And I am their friend, companion, and confidante.

They are the LOVES of my life.

When I was little, my dream was to be a teacher…

And I am so excited…

…that now is the time!

What makes a teacher GREAT?

She will give kids a sense of efficacy.

A great teacher will recognize students have different learning

styles.

She will give students the opportunity to discover for

themselves.

She will let them make mistakes.

A great teacher will make sure every student has some one-on-one time.

She will help kids see that…

But also that…

And that risks are worth taking.

A great teacher…

…will teach social skills…

…and realize that…

She will set a good example…

And share her…

Physical Education classes.

Bullying.

Cyber-bullying.

Intolerance.

Funding.

Students need to keep up on technology.

Teachers need reasonable class sizes.

Students without involved parents.

And ever-changing standards.
