MEANING OF EDUCATION

The word "Education" has been derived

from the Latin term "Educatum" which

means the act of teaching or training.

Education is a systematic process through

which a child or an adult acquires knowledge,

experience and skill . It makes an individual

socialized cultured and educated.

Its main goal is to ma ke an individual perfect

Education seeks to nourish the good

qualities in man and draw out the best in

every individual. Education seeks to

develop the inner capacities of man.

By educating an individual we attempt to

give him some desirable knowledge,

understanding, skills, interests, attitudes

and critical 'thinking.

INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

Education in India falls under the control of both the

Union Government and the State Governments, which

further provide public sector and private sector to

provide education to all.

2012, 96.5% of all rural children between the ages of 6-14

CONCLUSION

Even after providing education programs , rural and poor people

in urban area don’t know the importance of providing education to

their children .

Government should take steps to promote the importance of

education amongst such people .
