SEED (Summer Educational Experience for the Disadvantaged)• Participated in the Dayton Section of the SEED program in the selection and interview of local

students. Trained students in our group in the area of Aerospace Systems for ten weeks during the summer of 1990.

ASME Student Section Faculty Advisor (1985-1988)• I was the founding faculty advisor of the ASME student section. This involved membership

development, interaction with the ASME Dayton section, supervision of a student organized annual banquet, establishment of an annual scholarship, and organizing student attendance and presentations at the ASME Region V student conferences held at the University of Michigan, the University of Akron, and the University of West Virginia.
