March 2 – Arrive Late Evening – DelhiWelcome to India! You are met by our representative in the arrival areaof the airport after you clear all immigration and customs formalities.Transfer to hotel for your stay.

March 3 – Delhi ‐ Jama Masjid / Chandi Chowk / Gurudwara /Humayun's Tomb / Qutub MinarThis morning, you'll visit the largest mosque in all India. Then enjoy arickshaw ride tour of Chandni Chowk, the Moonlit Square. Continue onto visit Gurudwara, a Sikh temple and witness how they serve thousandsthrough their public kitchen. You'll visit Humayun's Tomb, the firstgarden tomb in India. Then see Qutub Minar, a soaring minaret built bythe Afghan dynasties that ruled India from the 1200's through 1526.

March 4 – VaranasiFly this morning to Varanasi, first inhabited in 1000 B.C. One of the mostimportant pilgrimage sites, thousands flock to the Ganges River to washaway their sins. Dying here ensures an instant route to heaven. You'llvisit the town of Sarnath, where Buddha is said to have preached hisfirst sermon. Enjoy an evening river cruise on the Ganges in candle litcountry boats.

March 5 – Morning River Cruise / KhajurahoThis morning, you'll sail along the Ganges and observe the various ritualsof the Hindus performed at its banks. Then transfer to the airport foryour flight to Khajuraho. Home to over 20 temples, Khajuraho was builtin the Chandela Dynasty (10 ‐ 11th Centuries AD). The British discoveredthe temples in 1838, and they are protected by UNESCO designation.After touring the temples in the afternoon, return for a sound and lightshow that tells the story of the temples and those who built them.

March 6– Orchha Fort / Jehangir Mahal / AgraSee the remains of the 16th Century capital of Rudra Singh. Continue onto the multi‐tiered Jehangir Mahal, built in 1606. Board a train for Agra.

March 7 – Agra and the Taj MahalWatch the sun rise over the Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shahjahan in1630, to hold the remains of his beloved Queen. Then travel to the AgraFort, seat of the Mughal Empire. See the Hall of Public Audiences andRoyal Pavilions. Walk the Roman Catholic Cemetery, dating to the 18thCentury.

March 8 – Fatehpur Sikri / Jaipur Set out for the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri, once a walled city ofthe Mughal dynasty. Continue on to the pink city of Jaipur.

March 9 – JaipurYou'll visit the Amber Fort. Its white marble and red sandstone blendsboth Hindu and Mughal architecture. Continue to the observatory ofJantar Mantar, built by Aawai Singh in the 18th Century. From here,continue into the City Palace, home to the treasures of the past. Theformer royal family still lives in a portion of the palace.

March 10 – Shikara Boat Ride / UdaipurToday you will cross the Aravalli Hills, an ancient mountain range to LakePichola. Enjoy a Shikara Boat Ride on the lake and see the City Palacefrom the lake.

March 11 – City Palace / Jagdish TempleThis morning, tour the City Palace of Udaipur. It is a mixture of medievalEuropean and Chinese Architecture. Enter through the Hathi Pol ‐Elephant Gate. You'll visit the Jagdish Temple, and indo‐Aryan templebuilt in 1651. Fly this afternoon to Delhi (those taking the extension willfly to Mumbai).

CANCELLATION FEES: 100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Travel Protection Program, provided premium has been paidand reason for cancellation is coverable. Those who do not take travel protection should be aware of the followingcancellation penalties: From day of registration to 105 days prior to departure, you will be charged the $100 non-refundable administrative fee plus any airline fees.
