Early childhood education (ECE)/Early Education

• Early childhood education (ECE) is a branch of educational theory which relates to the teaching of young children up until the age of about eight, with a particular focus on developmental education, most notable before the start of compulsory education.

Are Computers Developmentally Appropriate?

• Most experts believe computers are not developmentally appropriate for children under the age of three (Elkind, 1998; Haugland, 1999; NAEYC, 1996).
