Page 4: Educational technology in the 21 st century education

INSTRUCTION SHOULD BE

STUDENT-CENTERED

Students will need to be able to acquire new information

as problems arise, then connect the new information with

the knowledge they already have and apply it to solving

the problem at had.

Students “learned how to learn” on their own, encouraging

new learning styles and enhance their sense of motivation

and responsibility.

The teacher would act as a facilitator for the students.

EDUCATION SHOULD BE

COLLABORATIVE

Students should be encouraged to work together to

discover information, piece it together and construct

meaning and collaboration should be dynamic.

Schools should also be collaborating with other

educational institutions around the world to share

information and learn about different methods that have

been developed.

Page 6: Educational technology in the 21 st century education

LEARNING SHOULD HAVE CONTEXT

Students are encouraged to learn in different ways, the

teacher still provides guidance as to the skills that need to

acquired, and find the value of learning something.

Lessons must have any impact in a student’s life outside

of the school and technology is a tool that allows students

to develop valuable research skills, which they can

transplant at high levels of education.
