1 Purpose
1.1 The Ethical and Environmental Committee is Responsible for:
1.1.1 Creating and implementing Union environmental and ethical policy
1.1.2 Organising environmental and ethical campaigns
1.1.3 Supporting the organisation of relevant society events
1.1.4 Representing the environmental and ethical concerns of the student body to the University and beyond
1.2 The Committee shall be chaired by the Ethical and Environmental Officer
1.3 The Committee shall operate under the general rules governing standing
committees as outlined in Standing Order 3, Section 1 of the Constitution.

2.1 Ex- Officio
2.1.1 Ethical and Environmental Officer
2.1.2 The Union President
2.1.3 VP Welfare and Communities
2.1.4 JCRs Officer
2.1.5 Equality and Diversity Officer

2.2 Voluntary Positions Created by this Committee 2.2.1 Media Officer
2.2.1.1 Shall promote Ethical and Environmental events throughout all types of media
2.2.2 Events Officer
2.2.2.1 Shall assist in the day-to-day running of events and source event volunteers
2.2.3 Liaison Officer
2.2.3.1 Shall attend Ethical and Environmental related committees and work to fuse ideas and create collaborative events and share information
2.2.4 Environmental Co-ordinator
2.2.4.1 Assist the Ethical and Environmental Officer and contribute to environmental event co-ordination
2.2.5 Ethical Co-ordinator
2.2.5.1 Assist the Ethical and Environmental Officer and contribute to ethical event co-ordination
2.3 Other Membership
2.3.1 One representative from each society, to be approved at the committee at
the beginning of each academic year
3 Sub Committees
3.1 The Ethical and Environmental Committee may create sub-committees to assist in the performance of its duties
4 Meetings
4.1 Timings
4.1.1 Meetings shall ordinarily be held at least twice per semester
4.1.2 The Chair shall, with appropriate support, ensure agendas and papers are circulated at least 3 clear days in advance of meetings
4.2 Election of Voluntary Officers or other representatives

4.2.1 Voluntary Officers or other representatives shall be elected by ballot as guided by Standing Order 6 of the Constitution
4.2.2 Voluntary Officers shall be elected at the final Ethical and Environmental of the academic year Committee of the year to take up office 1st July
4.2.3 Terms of office for Voluntary officers or other representatives shall last one year from the date which they are elected
4.2.4 It shall be the responsibility of Ethical and Environmental Committee to promote the election of voluntary officers or other representatives
4.2.5 At the first meeting of the academic year, the committee shall elect representatives to other standing committees as appropriate. It shall be the responsibility of the chair to liaise with other standing committees to ensure these vacancies are known.
