- Chose type of wireless communication- Find/purchase a particular product for wireless communication- Programming language/instant messaging protocol- Start on Functional Specification

Accomplishments:- Chose to use Bluetooth for wireless communication- Purchased “Ice Blue” wireless Bluetooth & PIC module- Decided to use Pidgin for an instant messenger protocol- Completed first versions of functional specification
