The education department of Youngnak Church is working towards connecting our church and homes to raise our next generation of children to experience the importance of the Gospel, so they can stand up as Christians in this world. In its effort, the One-Point Education was developed to connect Church and Home.

Programs for connecting Church and Home

To develop our young children’s faith, the Children’s Ministry diligently works towards connecting church and home. A special program, ‘Eunice School,’ a 27 week parent education program is available to parents and young children between 24-38 months old.

01_Pres-School Ministry (Infants, Toddlers & Kindergarten)

02_Elementary Ministry (Grades 1-6) In connection with church and home, elementary-age children are able to grow as disciples of God through worship, Bible study and various activities. We have a weekend school and a special Sunday worship, as well as a Bible Study class in English (CEBC).

03_Love Ministry (Physically and mentally challenged) Worship for children and young adults with developmental disabilities.

04_Youth Ministry (Middle School and High School) This ministry helps students to meet God intimately by teaching them how to personally worship and maintain a daily devotional routine. Through service ministries, community activities, and parent-teacher programs, our young teens are trained to be the builders of next generation.

05_College and Young Adults Ministries These ministries nurture a young adult community (age 20s-30s) to grow spiritually by offering variety of mission opportunities at home and abroad. They prepare for their future careers through a Biblical perspective. As Christ’s disciples, they develop the kingdom of God on Earth through the Gospel.

Mission

In its effort to serve the nation with the Gospel, Youngnak Church has vibrant domestic and foreign mission ministries. The mission ministry is focused particularly in the northern and southeastern part of Asia, working relentlessly to pursue and abide in Christ to obey the Great Commission.

Domestic MissionAs a domestic mission, Youngnak is helping non-self-supporting churches in the rural areas and churches in the farming and fishing villages. This mission ministry is also working to instill the Gospel in schools, military and social service centers by persistently participating in mission schools, on-base military churches and the social service centers of Youngnak Church.

Overseas MissionOverseas mission ministry, in preparation for the unification of North and South Korea, has commissioned 10 missionaries to various parts of northern Asia. This ministry also offers short and long term mission opportunities through lay leaders’ mission training program.

EvangelismOur evangelism education program is established to equip church members to actively participate in sharing the Gospel with non believers. Worship for Office Workers and an inner city outreach program have been developed to evangelize to the working business men and women, as well as residents around the vicinity of Youngnak Church. Worship for Office Workers service takes place every Friday at noon.

Cultural MissionIn order to accurately spread and develop Christian culture through Biblical perspective, Youngnak has developed material on Christian culture which is being used for various activities and programs. This curriculum not only promotes understanding the importance of Christian culture, but it also spreads the Gospel through cultural events.

Mission for ForeignersThis mission is a ministry for small groups of foreigners who work or study in Korea. Youngnak Church provides foreigners a place to worship God freely in their own native language. This ministry helps foreigners to grow and mature through Bible studies, discipleships and outreach opportunities. Youngnak Church currently has worships in Russian, Mongolian, Nepali and Chinese.

01_North Korea MissionMission work to North Korea is God’s special calling to Youngnak Church. This mission inherited Rev. Kyung Chik Han’s ardent love for national evangelism. Its ministerial purpose is to bind our divided nation through the Gospel and prepare responsible leaders for unification through prayer, education, and North Korean refugee support.

Prayer Love for North Korea, Gospel for Unification, Habero (young adults gathering), and Song-Ak prayer meetings are Youngnak’s four main prayer gatherings for North Korea mission. They meet at various locations and times.

Education/Training North Korean Mission School, Youngnak Forum, Seminar for North Korea Mission, and Training Leaders for Unification are Youngnak’s education programs in preparation for unification of North and South Korea.

Freed-People (North Korean Refugees) The love of Jesus Christ is expressed to the North Korean refugees through Freed-People worship, Hana Center Hana Church, New Korea Global Institute (a school for young NK refugees), and a refugee support program where the newly arrived refugees receive a city tour and home appliance gift to get them started in their life in South Korea.

North Korea Border Ministry By providing aid, the Gospel is sown into the land of North Korea. The North Korea mission ministry of Youngnak, preparing for the day when God will open the door to unification, will continue to devote relentless effort in saving the lives of North Koreans.

02_Medical MissionThe Youngnak medical mission ministry obeys the command of Christ to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth through their gifts performing medical services within the country and overseas. They provide health examinations, medical seminars, natural disaster relief and overseas medical aid. Wherever they serve, the Gospel is also faithfully presented through the sharing of Christ’s love.

Domestic Medical AidThe domestic medical aid team, in conjunction with the Young Adults ministry, annually serves the people in rural areas.

Church Member’s Health Examination Annual health examination is offered to our members. March : North Korean refugeesNovember : Foreigners residing in Korea. April~June and September~October : Regular members Health Seminars These seminars dealing with the health issues of members are offered quarterly.

Overseas Medical Aid In conjunction with the cultural mission ministry, these teams of professionals travel overseas 2-3 times a year to administer medical aid to the locals.

Natural Disaster Relief Aid The disaster relief team was organized as a result of the 2014 hurricane disaster in Philippines, at which time Youngnak Church was part of the relief team.

Youngnak Church was first known as Bethany Evangelism Church, which began with a hand of people gathering in fellowship like the early Christian Church. Youngnak’s distinguishing quality is its family atmosphere where members wholeheartedly care for one another as true brothers and sisters.

Fellowship of Christ’s Body

Our parishes around the Greater Seoul Area cultivate a close-knit family atmosphere which can get lost in a mega church. Youngnak has 18 regionally formed parishes which receive personal care and attention from two pastors (one ordained and one non-ordained). Each parish has core groups with leaders that lead its members in fellowship and spiritual growth..

Through his continuous efforts, centers such as Youngnak Borinwon, Youngnak Home for the Elderly, and Youngnak Home for Single Moms were recognized as official offices, receiving systematic care and support.
