    Hello! My name is Sid and this is my house.

    My house is quite big. It has got two floors -

    a ground floor and a first floor. It has also got

    an attic and a basement.

    On the ground floor, there is a hall, a kitchen,

    a pantry, a living room, a big dining room

    and a toilet.

    On the first floor, there are three bedrooms,

    one bathroom and a big corridor. My

    bedroom is between my parents’ bedroom

    and the bathroom. My sister’s bedroom is in

    front of mine.

    I love my bedroom, but I also like the attic. In the attic, I keep some of my books

    and my old toys. I like to spend my time there because it is very spacious and there

    is a big sofa there where I sometimes take a nap.

    In the basement is where we keep the washing machine, the drying machine and

    old stuff.

    At the back of the house, there is also a garage, where my parents park the family

    car, and a lovely garden, with many green spaces, flowers, two swings and a small

    swimming-pool.

    I love my house! It’s very comfortable and cozy.

    Students, we know that your favourite restaurants are closed now and you are

    at home for quite a while. It’s time to get creative. Let’s have a restaurant at

    home.

    Helpful points

    • All the members of the family can prepare

    one dish each.

    • Each member of the family can play a role.

    Grandparents/parents can play the role of

    guests, you may act like a head chef or a

    waiter/waitress etc.

    • Design a beautiful menu card. Ensure that the

    1. Suhani lives in BKC society. In her society, the house numbers are assigned

    randomly on each floor. The newspaper boy delivers the newspaper to each

    house daily. Since the house numbers are arranged randomly, the newspaper

    boy gets confused while delivering the newspaper. To help him out, Suhani

    decided to talk with the President of the Society and arrange the house

    numbers in an orderly manner.

    (i) Help Suhani arrange the house numbers both in ascending and descending

    order.

    Now, the newspaper boy delivers Chota Bheem comics to every even number

    house on an even date and to every odd number house on an odd date.

    Read and answer each question.

    Simran and her friends went for a picnic in a magical forest. In order to find

    their way back to home, they need to solve a series of puzzles.

    2.The first puzzle involved two giant trees. To open the path, they need to

    find the difference of height between the two trees.

    together to clear the trash. If there were 5,556 plastic wrappers and they

    cleared 3,472 plastic wrappers, how many more wrappers are yet to be

    5. Across the river, Simran’s slippers fell into a deep hole filled with 6,760

    litres of water. To get them out, the hole needs to be filled with 8,236 litres of

    water. How much more water do they need to fill it with?

    6. At the edge of the forest, an anthill is blocking their way out.

    In order to pass through, Simran and her friends need to help the ants gather

    food. If the ants need 9,112 grains of food and they already have 7,629 grains

    of food, how many more grains are needed to be gathered?

    7. The first thing that she did is to visit an orphanage which was housed in a

    If she gave 134 toy cars to the boys and 269 dolls to the girls, how many toys

    did she give in all?

    others. She went around the city and gave clothes to homeless people. If she

    10. After giving out clothes, she invited the homeless to her housing society

    and gave them a

    proper meal.

    If she and her neighbours fed 2,191 men and 3,287 women, how many people
