enhance language acquisition.
Overview
Midisaurus English adopts a holistic approach to language learning. The
program is designed based on a “Whole-Part-Whole” approach.
• Whole: Children is exposed to listening and reading of text for meaning
• Part: Children learn language features such as vocabulary and grammar
• Whole: Children use their new knowledge to read, speak and write

The “Whole-Part-Whole” learning approach is a proven model of instruction
that helps learners to observe, learn and practice their newly acquired skills.
The first ‘Whole’ demonstrates and provides the full context of knowledge that
learners would be introduced to. The ‘Part’ deconstructs and focuses on the
specific knowledge concepts or skills, in this case, language features that can
be taught separately. When learners have mastered the language features in
their parts, they return to the second ‘Whole’ which allows them to practice
their newly-mastered language skills.
