    Vessel Mobilisation/ Calibrations

Prior to the start of EIG seg 4.1 survey operations, the following pre-sailingchecks and calibrations were performed:

All computer systems were demonstrated to be receiving data fromthe various positioning and survey systems. Software checks will beconducted to demonstrate the operability of the system.

Gyro calibration checks were conducted by comparison of readingstaken simultaneously with measurement of offsets from the vessels

centreline to a baseline of known azimuth on the quayside.

Towed sensors were wet tested to prove operability of the systemand of the deployment arrangements. The echo sounder (ifapplicable) transducer depth will be determined.

2.3 Survey Equipment Performance (Quality & Reliability)

Upon arrival on location the EGS survey team started the mobilization ofthe S/V Ayat, all equpment was installed and in working order with theexception of the Side scan sonar Edgetech 272 TD low Freq wasunoperatable. Repair parts were dispatched from EGS office Hong Kongand repairs were completed without the loss of downtime.

The Following Equipment was provided and maintainedthrough the EIG 4.1 Shallow water project with no downtime

2.4 Performance and Suitability of the Survey Vessel

The S/V Ayat had no downtime and ship was capable of completing alltasks assigned. The crew was helpful and worked well with all personnelonboard.

2.5 Performance of the Survey Personnel

EGS Survey personnel showed a high level of expertise and werecommitted to completing the EIG seg 4.1 shallow water survey in a timelyand professional manor. EGS sidescan sonar was damaged duringshipping. A quick decision to contact their office and have parts handcarried to the job site saved possible delays. The survey team stayed one

step ahead of the operation this resulting in smooth transitions in allphases of the survey.
