ANNOUNCEMENTS EIGHTH ANNUAL WINTER NEUROPEPTIDE CONFERENCE The Winter Neuropeptide Conference will be held in Breckenridge, Colorado, 18 January through 22 January, 1988. As in past years the Conference is intended to provide an informal setting in which to present and discuss basic and clinical research of high quality related to neuropeptide biology. Areas of discussion will include regulation of synthesis and metabolism, as well as functional effects of peptides from molecular to behavioral levels of organization. RICHTER PRIZE IN PSYCHONEUROENDOCRINOLOGY The International Society of Psychoneuroendocrinology (ISPNE) invites submission of manuscripts for the Curt P. Richter Prize 1988. The award includes a honorarium of US$ 1000 (sponsored by Pergamon Press) and a travel grant of up to US$1000 (offered by the Society) to the 19th International Congress of the ISPNE in Groningen, The Netherlands, 22 -26 August, 1988, where the prize will be awarded. The winning paper will automatically be considered for publication in the Journal Psychoneuroendocrinology. The deadline for submission is 31 January, 1988. All submissions will be screened by a committee of established psychoneuroendocrinologists.
