Bulletin Number: TB0613 Date: 28/6/06 Subject: Transport Braking System Approval for 913 LHD Purpose To advise operators and owners of Eimco 913 LHD’s in New South Wales of receipt of transport braking system approval for changes to the braking system advised in Technical Bulletin TB0603, change to POSI-STOP service brake valve and optional spring applied brake valve. A copy has also been sent to Queensland users for use in demonstrating duty of care. Applicable to Eimco 913, both LCB (pressure applied) and POSI-STOP (spring applied) service brakes. Approval documents A copy of the approval documents, approval drawings and the verification statement are attached. Spring Applied Transmission Park Brake A spring applied transmission park brake has been developed to remove the need for regular replacement of the actuator shaft as recommended in Technical Bulletin TB0211. The attached approval documents also include this as an option. The spring applied transmission park brake was developed for Chain Valley colliery by Jarvie Engineering. Those mines interested in this park brake should contact Jarvie Engineering for more details.
