Welcome to DMEM, we are part of Scotland’s largest Engineering Faculty which has more than 800 international students

studying with us from almost 100 countries.

We are the only department in the UK to combine end-to-end multidisciplinary expertise from creative design through engineering design, manufacture and management of the entire systems, as well as the first department funded by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology outside of China.

We have a number of world leading research centres including the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) which is a £60m state of the art facility with a £38.5m project portfolio.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate first year entry (four-year degree programme) ■ 会考 80% on average, and at least 80% in the required subjects.■ Provinces with no 会考: 80% on average over six subjects, including required subjects.

Undergraduate second year entry (three-year degree programme) ■ 会考 80% on average, and at least 80% in the required subjects.■ Provinces with no Huikao: 80% on average over six subjects, including required subjects.■ 高考 with at least 525 out of 750, or 70% (If the total mark is not out of 750).

Postgraduate TaughtGPA from a four-year undergraduate degree must be:■ over an average of 70% for 211/985 universities
