LOST BULLET, BY JOAN ROURA

This is the letter addressed to Felip Puig,

infamous "Conseller d'Interior" (Interior Minister) of the Generalitat de Catalunya, by the young Catalonian Joan Roura, victim of an incommensurate and criminal act of violence displayed by the “Mossos” squadron during the past 27-M in Barcelona's "Plaza de Catalunya".

It is unlikely that this letter will be published by the media manipulators. It is everybody's responsibility to make it known.

For Joan Roura and all the other victims of a disproportionate and uncontrolled State act of violence.

For him, and for all those who have been over a month spending the night out of doors, fighting for the rights of all citizens.

Felip Puig: "I cannot eat solid food, I cannot sleep because of a medical prescription, I cannot kiss the people I love, I cannot play football for two months, nor celebrate Barça's victory, and my mother suffers from a nervous fit.

Tomorrow I will go to the doctor to find out if I have lost any hearing, because on Friday I had so much blood (in my ear) that the doctors could not see it at all. Tonight, I have dreamt again the scene of the impact of the rubber ball.

I was overcome with the same fear - and incomprehension! - that I felt when I came to after I collapsed to the floor.

At that moment, I was not able to imagine what had happened, for I was far away from the place where they were whacking about with a night stick.

I was only bleeding, non-stop, from the ear - due to a bleeding which lasted 5 hours! - my sight was blurred, I couldn’t recognize my best friend, my hands were cold and my senses non-responsive.

All these tortuous images keep repeating themselves constantly in my head, and if you sent them, it would be because you are incapable of imagining anything like it. Believe me.

In an Internet video I have found an image of the "Mosso" who shot me. I looked from the 1:25 to the 1:30 second of this video:

I am not the fearful lad who appears in the images and whom the agent is shooting at.

I am a young man who was much further away, [click on the link to access the video: minute 6:30], calmly sitting in a peaceful nucleus and talking amicably with a colleague when a lost bullet, probably after rebounding on the floor, embedded itself in my ear.

The friend in question and other witnesses, evidently, will go with me until the end to support the formal complaint I am planning to bring.

Felip Puig, if you are interested in my case, you could ask for the medical report at the Hospital del Mar, or you could contact me; it surely won't be difficult for you.

In spite of that, the truth is: I doubt that you will do it, and I still do not understand how can I be so naive as to send you this message.

Most definitely, I have in mind fighting for this cause as far as necessary until:

1.- Until the Mosso agent be identified and retired from the service for shooting at a citizen without looking who was behind him.

2.- Until the Mossos squadron stop utilizing these rubber balls that have killed many people and have blown many eyes.

3. - Until you renounce to your office by ordering this massacre.

More outraged than ever, an injured citizen asks for your resignation.
