OPTIMIZE USE OF MULTILAYER NETWORK RESOURCES

The ELASTIC Services Platform is based on a holistic approach that combines application software and networking hardware. At the foundation is a dynamically controllable access-to-core network infrastructure, spanning L0-3, based on the Neptune multiservice packet networking and the Apollo reconfigurable optical networking systems. Mercury™ NFVi appliances support L3+ virtualized network functions and services, and can be deployed standalone, or integrated within Neptune.

The ELASTIC Services Platform lets you continuously optimize this infrastructure, which represents the bulk of your network investment. Telemetry and analytics keeps you updated continuously on network over- and under-utilization to balance traffic loads. By leveraging a combined view of the packet and optical layers, this lets you optimize aggregated traffic flows using techniques like router bypass. It also allows reducing router ports and protection routes by providing for restoration at the optical layer. In short, the ELASTIC Services Platform allows you to do more with less, delaying the need to add network resources as traffic grows.
