when I first arrived at the base in Townsville,ooking back over the past few weeks I realize thathis verse was so important and just what I needed

when I was first settling in! God is awesome!share flat with 7 other ladies and at first it wasery daunting, walking into a room where most ofhe girls know each other (as they hadeen here a few more days) was very scary and Ielt very isolated, yet they were all very friendly andwe were all soon getting on very well. (Below:he bed I sleep in - sorry mum I know its messy here are three other bunk beds in this room)

7.00PM Work duty - I clean (and scrub) the flin the main living areas! This has taught me a about forgiveness of the menial things in life, suas when someone with mucky shoes walks ovemy nice clean floor messing it up! Which I guescan be linked to the amazing forgiveness of Chwho constantly forgives us for not only the menpetty things that we do but the massive mistakethat we all make in our lives.

YWAM Townsville has a passion for youth and a program called Youth Street where over 100young people get together and play games, shafellowship and get to experience a love andacceptance from people not only their own age

with peoplefrom all ovethe world a

many differages. (LefCrazy hair at YouthStreet) Manthese kidscome from

backgrounds where love is not readily shown, sfor me it is a great privilege to work with them aget to know them on a personal level where weinfluence and change each others lives for the

have one word for lectures: Challenging. The firstwo weeks of lectures have been on Identity, verytting for the first few weeks as we get to findurselves, get to explore how we act like we actnd if necessary change who we are to be a

Woman/Man of God, taking down the walls thatprotect us and becoming who our creator made uso be, BEAUTIFUL, CARING, LOVING, FUNNY,IND I have learnt that we often conform to theeals of the world maybe because weve been toldso many times we believe that we are worthless,gly, insignificant. Maybe we dont stand up for ourwn beliefs because its easier to agree withveryone else or just perhaps we are just too lazyo stand out of the crowd. After just coming out ofgh school you can imagine that this hit a fewerves! Learning that I am Fearfully and

wonderfully made is a concept which is refreshingo grasp! As well as lectures we as students alsoet a go at discussing God in a small group whichcalled Creative devotions. One is on a Character

f God and the other is on how to reach annreached people group, which is going to be ahallenge but Im excited to see what myself andod has come up with. My creative devotion

was on Gods Love and it was really good, it wasotally God moving within everyone which wasotally awesome! I challenged my small group tomake a list of people that they didnt like or didntet on with and to pray for those people and steput in love to make renew friendship. It waseally good!

As part of the DTS I have the opportunity of goion outreach, the first is for three weeks and issomewhere within Australia. The second is for weeks and there are different locations. I wouldappreciate it if you were able to pray for me inmaking the right God given decision but also fofinances to be adequate (I dont think I have aproblem as everyone was very supportive and raised 2,000 for outreach but just incase I woulove for your support in prayer!) The places I amable to go are:

1. Cairns/The Tablelands + Papua NewGuinea

2. Charters Towers + Darwin/East Timor3. Mt Isa + Papua New Guinea Medical

Ship.4. Gladstone/Emerald + Throughout

Queensland.

Ive been praying for the past few days and I feethat God is keeping me in Australia to give hopeand new life to the teenagers of Aus. There is sa high rate of teen suicide and depression that feel that I can really help make a difference tothese kids lives supporting them and telling themy story.

As a school that we will continue to getcloser and become a family.
