– Every South African learner in the general and further education and training bands will be ICT capable (that is, use ICTs confidently and creatively to help develop the skills and knowledge they need to achieve personal goals and to be full participants in the global community) by 2013.
• Action Plan to 2014:– Goal 16: Improve the professionalism, teaching skills, subject knowledge
and computer literacy of teachers throughout their entire careers.– Goal 20: Increase access amongst learners to a wide range of media,
including computers, which enrich their education.– Goal 27: Improve the frequency and quality of the monitoring and
support services provided by district offices to schools, partly through better use of e-Education.
