Electronic Holdings Reports
Quick Reference Guide
ScienceDirect offers electronic holdings reports that list the titles and dates of coverage included in your library’s subscription package.
Three types of reports are available:
1. KBART product reports provide information about all titles available on ScienceDirect.
2. KBART account reports provide detailed entitlements information about your library’s holdings.
3. An updated version 2.0 of the ScienceDirect electronic holdings report. This report provides greater detail than KBART reports, including identification of access type such as “Complimentary,” “Entitled” and “Free-To-Read.” While much of the new report will be familiar to librarians working with the original 1.0 version, the columns and fields in version 2.0 are in a different order and column headings have been changed to conform to KBART recommendations where possible.
Elsevier adopted Knowledge Base and Related Tools (KBART) working group Phase II recommendations. Information about KBART is available at www.uksg.org/KBART

Holdings reports can be downloaded from ScienceDirect at any time:
Open sciencedirect.com Click on the “Journals” or “Books”
link in the green banner at the top of the page
Follow the link at top right to
“Electronic holdings reports”

Go to Admin Tool http://admintool.elsevier.com and sign in.
On the General tab, select your department from the list on the right.

Scroll to the Library Integration section and click on the Trusted Partners link.

Find your service provider in the “Electronic Holdings” section of the page.*
If no token is displayed for your provider, create a token by clicking on the Create Token checkbox.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
* If your service provider is not listed, refer back later or contact your provider to find out when they will offer automated holdings report retrieval from ScienceDirect.

A confirmation message is displayed, and the token is created and displayed.
Visit the ‘more info’ link, if available, to check whether your service provider has more detailed steps that you must follow.
The token can be deleted by clicking the Remove Token checkbox and clicking the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Please note: If you remove the token, your service provider will no longer be able to receive data from Elsevier. Notify your service provider directly to have your current holdings reports deleted.
