therefore, portray

Molly and the bands

music as being serious

about their music.

The converse stick to

the convention of

indie musicians who

are often

seen

wearing

shoes

such as

converse

and vans.

I’ve chosen a

feathered headdress

for molly to wear as

its quite

unconventional this

therefore conveys the

bands music as being

slightly playful and

fun additionally the

headdress stand’s out

against Molly’s black

clothes.

I’ve chosen a gold

chain for Molly to

wear as to shy away

from being too plain

and make’s her outfit

look slightly edgy and

retro. This element

will convey the bands

music as also being

slightly edgy and

having a vintage

element to it just

like most indie bands

do.

Hair Down and

natural

I’ve decided to have

Mollys hair natural

and down, as she has

naturally curly and

frizzy hair.

Therefore, I feel it

would suit the band

better if she were to

have it down as it

conveys her as being

quite wild and fun.

Lorde who is an Indie

female singer also

replicates this style

making her look wild

and mysterious. This

is what I would like

to mimic.

Make up Heavy eye

makeup

Natural skin

and lips

Molly’s makeup is

heavy and dark as it

makes her look

slightly mysterious

therefore, conveying

the rest of the band

as being unusual and

mysterious.

I’ve drawn

inspiration, from

Florence Welch’s eye

makeup as she is an

indie singer, who

often wears heavy eye

makeup making her look

mysterious and

alluring.

punk feel to Alex’s

look connoting her

rebellious.

However, I will

contrast this with

she will wear which

outfit look playful

and fun as well as

looking young and

cool.

Alex will be

wearing lots of

rings and earrings

as it presents her

as being

unconventional just

like the band. I’ve

drawn inspiration

from Natasha Khan

(Bat for Lashes)

who is known for

wearing a lot of

jewellery.

This will make Alex

look cool and her

style will fit in

with the Indie

style genre.

Alex, will wear a

floral headdress,

which will make her

look girly and

contrast her dark

clothes and edgy

shorts and

jewellery. I’ve

drawn inspiration

from Lana del Rey

who often contrasts

her edgy style with

floral crowns.

Hair Straight partly

backcombed

Alex’s hair will be

straight as to

avoid looking too

similar to Molly.

However, I have

decided that I will

back comb the top

of it to give

height to her hair

and make her look

slightly vintage.

This will convey

her and the band as

having a retro

element to their

music.

Make up Eyeliner and dark

lips

Simple foundation

and contouring

As Molly will have

dramatic eyes I

don’t want to draw

attention away from

her, as she is the

lead singer. Due to

this, I will keep

Alex’s eye makeup

quite minimal.

However, this will

work well as it

coincides with

Alex’s vintage

look.
