*Chung Chi College provides EYE (Excel Yourself through Exploration) Award for programmes organized / coordinated by the College, and FLY (Find a Learning
opportunity Yourself) Award for outreaching activities organized by recognized parties. Please observe the following regulations on quota arrangement:
◊ Students can receive 2 EYE & 2 FLY Awards at most. Each student can only receive ONE EYE Award for programmes under the same category (1, 2 or 3).
◊ For students with period of study of 4 years or more, the quota is 2 EYE & 2 FLY Awards.
◊ For students with period of study of 3 years, the quota is 2 EYE & 1 FLY / 1 EYE & 2 FLY Awards.
◊ For students with period of study of 2 years, the quota is 2 EYE / 2 FLY / 1 EYE & 1 FLY Awards.

Q1: How can I join the Credit-bearing Programme: Exchange Programme
and get subsidy for it?
Students can apply for the exchange programmes offered by the College or
the University every October (or otherwise stated). Selected candidates (list
provided by Office of Academic Links) will be invited to apply for exchange
subsidy. Subsidy will be given to you upon satisfactory completion of the
programmes and submission of all post-programme assignment(s).
Q2: How can I join the programmes other than the Credit-bearing
Programme: Exchange Programme and get subsidy for them?
Students can apply for the summer programmes through the online
system of Joint Application for Summer Programmes (JASP) via
www.cuhk.edu.hk/ccc/jasp every January. Subsidy will be given to
successful candidates. For details, please refer to individual programmes.
Q3: Can I get subsidy from the College if I join both Credit-bearing
Programmes: 1A and 1B ?
No. Each student can only be subsidized once in his/her study period by the College for either one of the Credit-bearing Programmes (i.e. either 1A or 1B).
Q4: Can I join all Study Trips: Exploration of German / French /
Japanese Society throughout my whole study period?
No. Each student can be subsidized to join one of the trips only in his/her study period.
Q5: How to determine which programme(s) can be subsidized if I have
been selected to join 3 or more programmes?
Programmes with earlier departure date will take up the quota of EYE Award subsidy, except for Exchange Programme which candidate can opt not to apply for the subsidy.
Q6: Why are some students able to join the 3rd programme?
If vacancies are available, students who have joined two programmes before can still participate in Credit-bearing Programmes / Language Study Abroad Programme/ Study Trip: Exploration of German/French/Japanese Society at their own expense.
Q7: If I extend my study period in CUHK for 1 semester, can I get an extra EYE or FLY Award quota from College?
No. However, students can get an extra quota for a FULL year extension subject to the quota arrangement.
Q8: Is there any other financial assistance other than the programme subsidy as stated above?
Yes, please see the following table for more information. You need to submit application form to College Dean of Students’ Office during the application period.
