Many doin'sduring thelast twelvemonths! Chipand Francine'sbrood isdefinitely onthe move.Francine ispioneeringnew digs in

San Diego in anticipation of Chip's retirement from the Universityof Colorado Medical School. Chip is cooperating, slowly, and hestepped down from one position, Dean of the Medical School, thissummer. Even bigger news is the engagement of Eli to Carley Cas-sibry, a long time Elk Creek rancher and counselor, with the weddingto follow next August in Sunlight. In the meantime, they returnedto San Francisco lured by a great offer to return to the art gallerywhere Eli worked for several years. Emily has moved from NewYork City to Boston to start a residency in plastic surgery, and Abihas moved from Washington to Boston and is combining pre-medcourses at Harvard with her work.

Betsy and Cliff are also not sitting still. They traveled to Francein September to take a barge trip down the Seine after making theirnormal sojourn to Wyoming to help get the ranch off to a good startand taking their annual sailing trip from their home base on VashonIsland in Washington. As if that were not enough, Cliff purchaseda very fast sports car, a Lotus, and is seen, or heard, traveling justslightly short of the speed of sound around Vashon. Debbie, Paul,

and Sean headed to London thissummer for a wedding, and Tinaand Rob continued to run ElkCreek. It is a bit startling to realizethat both Sean and Keenan arenow into their middle school years!

Hap and Susan announced theirretirement from Berwick Academy,and they will head back to Sunlightin the summer of 2007. Their 18thyear at Berwick will involve manypainful farewells and some fun ...... ex mal \celebrations, but, after all is said and done, September will find themin Wyoming starting a new adventure. Kyle is now a fulltime teacherand coach at Berwick, and she has actually just purchased a condoin Dover, New Hampshire. Melissa is back with Hap and Susan forthe year as she takes General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry toprepare for her application to veterinary schools. Aly is in Rome forher semester abroad where Susan managed to join her for a week.Grant has started at Connecticut College, making it four for four forthe Ridgways at the College. He is juggling Chemistry and Biologywith rugby, but seems to be managing it all well. The good news isthat he has suffered no broken bones so farl

We will all gather next August for the wedding. It will be a specialtime because of Eli and Carley. It will also be wonderful to cometogether after we have all been on the move. Sunlight, after all ofthese years, remains home.
