Why do we need to incorporate
technology in EAL Instruction?
“Outside school, students constantly
interact with technologies such as
iPods, mobile phones, the internet and
social networking sites, so it is little
wonder there's an expectation that
these technologies will also support
their learning in the classroom.” (1)
“When effectively integrated into
the curriculum, technology tools
can extend learning in powerful
ways.” (2)
My goal is to use technology
creatively and meaningfully!

Organization of the Discussion
Panel
• We have five discussion groups.
• Each group has a laptop with my blog site open.
• Please choose a recorder and a reporter among you!
• The recorder will open the Presentation Google doc and
record his/her group’s ideas.
• The reporter will then summarize your discussion points
at the end of each discussion round.
