Attendance Attendance will be taken every

morning by your lunch choice. I will tell you what the lunch choices are and then I will call you by name. When I call your name you will tell me which of the choices you want or if you brought your lunch.

Attendance • Tardiness

– If you come in late, I should have a note from the office. You are to come in and get right to work. If we are in whole group, you need to come in unpack your backpack and join us on the floor. You need to check your binder for money and notes. Place your late slip on the guided reading table.

BIRTHDAYS

•On your birthday you are allowed to visit the treasure box and pick out 2 things.

•Your parents are welcomed to send a special snack, as long as they send enough for everyone to have some.

•I do ask that your parents follow the school handbook to ensure that none of the restricted foods are brought in.

Medication Procedures

Any medications brought to school will be taken to the office. A note from the doctor or parent is also needed. Only the school nurse is allowed to give you your medication.

Please have your parent fill out the “Health Form” completely. This will let me and the nurse know of any health concerns that may need attention.

*I will NOT give out any medication in my classroom. Any and all medication will be given by the school nurse.*

Classroom Visitors • All visitors MUST sign in at the front office when

entering the building.• Visitors MUST wear a visitor’s name tag while they are

on school property. • The best time for visitors are at lunch. You and your

visitor will be able to sit at a table away from the class so you can visit. I would appreciate at least 24 hour notice before a visitor comes. No outside food is allowed in the school cafeteria.

• I do not allow visitors during instructional time. This is a time when you need to focus on work, and visitors are a distraction to the learning process.

Volunteers

Classroom volunteers are always appreciated!

Parents that wish to volunteer or help when needed, need to fill out a

volunteer form. I will contact parents as I need them.
