DO YOU WANT to BUILD a SNOWMAN? Winter gets long, and there’s nothing like a smiling friend to share it with. So let’s make one! We’ll be getting messy and sculpting paper-mache snowmen! Whether you’re an Olaf or a Frosty fan, we’ll work on your unique paper-mache snowman, add accessories, paint it and give it expression. This is no easy task in four weeks, but it sure will be fun, and when your done, you’ll have a winter decoration for years to come! All supplies included. Snowman will be roughly 30 inches tall. DRAW CLUB Draw Club is a dedicated drawing community for young people that meets here in Holland. It runs through the school year. If you've liked the 4-session cartooning/comics classes and summer cartoon camps here at Park Township or you're the kind of kid who just loves to draw, this is your chance to delve deeper into your illustration ability with a supportive group of like-minded and fun drawing aficionados! We meet every Friday for approximately 2 hours. Each section is stand-alone and does not require having attended previous sections. SPECTRUM SKILLS MARTIAL ARTS

This program was designed to target children on the spec-

trum for ages 7 and up. The program introduces special-

ized skill-based training for children who have limited

physical, intellectual, social, and emotional abilities. With

that said, more emphasis is placed on building fundamen-

tal skills training with a strategic balance of Martial Arts. By

understanding the needs of these children, we have select-

ed 8 skills that make up the Spectrum SKILLZ Program:

Awareness, Detailing, Observing, Listening, Communica-

tion, Retention, Durability, Determination. We cover one

of the above skills per class (in order). During each class

we run a warm-up; deliver a mat chat about the skill; run

two or three skill-building drills; and then we have them

demonstrate the skill to earn their skill-stripe. They must

earn all 8 skill-stripes in order to graduate to the next belt

level. Once they earn their next belt they will continue to

run through all 8 skills earning their skill-stripes with more

challenging curriculum as they advance to each rank.

LITTLE NINJAS

The Little Ninjas Karate Program is an introductory karate

class specifically designed for children ages 4 and 5. It fo-

cuses on teaching children 8 important main life skills: Fo-

cus, Memory, Teamwork, Discipline, Self-Control, Fitness,

Balance and Coordination. All this is achieved through ex-

citing and fun games and activities! Wear loose fitting

clothes. A responsible adult must remain in attendance

during class.

KIDS POWER

The Kids Power Karate Program offers traditional mar-

tial arts training to children ages 6 through 12 and em-

phasizes self-defense, physical fitness, conflict resolu-

tion, team work and anti-kidnapping techniques. This

program is designed specifically for children and teach-

es prevention first. It does not promote active aggres-

siveness, but teaches children to respect themselves,

others and the skills they learn. Wear loose fitting

YOUTH RECREATION SCRAPYARD CLIMBING CLUB

Grow your child’s confidence and climbing ability! This after-school climbing club is full of activities that will improve self-esteem, social skills and motor development while also introducing climbing and safety skills. No experience necessary! For kids ages 6-9, this pro-gram will focus on teaching fundamentals of rock climbing in a fun, challenging and supportive environment. Kids will learn from and encourage each other as they play and climb together. For older kids, ages 9-13, participants will also learn belay and knot skills as well as movement and problem-solving techniques all in a fun and social environment.
