SUBJECT: Contract # DE-AC08-87NV10576Project Master List of Controlled Documents
Enclosed for your information and use is the Yucca Mountain Project MasterList of Controlled Documents, identifying the versions current as of March29, 1989. This listing of document status should be used to verify thatdocuments held for use are current and that out-of-date material is not usedfor the conduct of Project work.
Copies of revisions to these documents are forwarded to controlled documentholders so the controlled sets can stay current. If deficiencies in thecontrolled copies of these documents are identified, correct copies may beobtained by forwarding deficiency listings to the attention of Neal E. Carterat the company address listed below:
Neal E. CarterActing Project ManagerATTN: Document ControlScience Applications International Corporation101 Convention Center Drive, Suite 407Las Vegas, NV 89109
It has also been recognized that the number of controlled copy holders exceedsthe stated requirement, which is that the controlled document be available atthe work where the activity is to be performed. Therefore, it is requestedthat copy holders seriously assess the need for each document in theirpossession, particularly whether it is required for the tasks they areassigned to perform. This would eliminate the burdensome responsibility ofmaintaining these documents, and reduce the accountability of these documentsto the actual users only. Document Control will provide information oruncontrolled copies of any of the listed documents to requesters. It wouldalso be appreciated if sent with updates the DocumentTransmittal/Acknowledgment Record was returned to Document Control before thedue date to eliminate the need for additional follow-up reminder notices.
