1 Accessing the institutional administration area

Log in to your institutional account

• Logintoyouraccountusingthe ‘Admin’ link at the top right-hand corner of the homepage: www.emeraldinsight.com

• EnteryourUsernameandPassword into the Log in area

• Clickon‘Login’

Once logged in you will have access to the Institutional Account area from where you can manage your institutional account

To view your active subscriptions and access periods

• Clickon‘Accessentitlements’

Your subscriptions will appear in the panel.

To download a list of your subscriptions

• Clickonthe‘tabseparatedtextfile’link

3 Managing co-administrators on your institutional account

To delete an administrator:

• Ticktheboxnexttotheirname

• Clickon‘Deleteadministrator’

To add a contact for Emerald’s ‘Recommended to your librarian’ service:

• Enterthepersonsemail• Select‘Addnewcontact’

Only one contact can exist at any one time in the ‘Recommend to your librarian’ service.

To add your text and logo

• Clickon‘Co-branding’

• Insertthetextandclickon‘Updatebannertext’button

• Clickon‘Browse’andselectanimagefromyourfiles

• Clickonthe‘Uploadinstitution logo’ button

• Toremoveorreplacetheinstitution logo, click on the ‘Remove logo’ button

The uploaded image should be in JPEG, GIF or PNG format and the size restricted to 180 x 80 pixels.

The logo and banner text will appear in the top right-hand corner of every page on the website.

Accessing your usage reports:

• Clickon‘Usagereports’

UsagereportscanbedownloadedinCSV,XML,HTMLortab-delimitedtextformatsandcan be emailed to a selected administrator or all administrators. If you are an administrator for more than one institution, you will be given the option to select the institution for which you wish to see the usage.

• Todownloadusagereportsfor early 2014 and further back, click on ‘Download COUNTERlegacyreport’

Downloading other types of usage report:

• ToturnofftheCOUNTERe-mail:un-tickthenotificationbox and select ‘update settings’

COUNTERe-mailnotificationsaresenttodefaultadministratorswhentheusagedataforthe current month has been processed and is ready for reporting.

Additional IP instructions:

• AddtheIPaddress(orIPrange) of your institution’s server

• AddtheBannertext(normally this is a welcome message with the name of your institution)

• AddtheURLofanerrorpage if users fail to authenticate

• SelecttheprogrammingLanguage in which you would like to generate the TPS code
