Recognition of Prior Learning provides an opportunity for learners to identify their areas of prior learning and experience, which is assessed and formally acknowledged. Through assessment, we are able to allocate credits to learning and/or experience which has already been acquired previously (where the existing competencies meet the standards required). This learning /experience can be accumulated in various ways, namely: formal education and training; formal and informal on the job training; self-study; experience and in-house education and training. We are thus able to shorten training cycles and improve delivery of content to learners.

Recognition of Prior Learning is for all our Accredited SETA and SABPP programmes.
