We have teamed up with Unlimited who help disabled artists.

This is an easy read to tell you about our Emerging Artist Award 2020.

This is an opportunity for disabled people to be paid to make art for Coventry City of Culture.

We want to celebrate Coventry as a place to live, work and visit.

About Unlimited

Unlimited gives money to disabled artists so they can make art.

Unlimited want to make sure disabled artist’s talent is supported so it can be the best it can be.

We work nationally and internationally with disabled artists, performers and creatives.

We also want to challenge what people think about disability and to help art be more accessible.

The Brief

Emerging Artist Award 2020 is a project to pay disabled artists to make new art.

Your artwork does not have to be about disability.

You can apply for money between £2,500 up to £10,000

We would really like to see artwork that links with Coventry City of Cultures 4 themes.

Community CollaborationArt as a way of working together with others

DigitalArt created using digital technology or media

Who can apply

You must live or work in a ‘CV’ postcode

This means that the postcode of where you live or work must be begin with the letters CV. You can find the postcode in your address.

You must be disabled

This opportunity is for people who identify as deaf, disabled or neurodivergent.

You must be an ‘emerging’ artist

This means you have not had a major exhibition or showcasing opportunity on your own.

Emerging artists can be any age.
