helloi

I am a creative mind with analytical tendencies.

I love new challenges and I’m never bored. This mind set has taken me on countless adventures.

I truly believe that a well designed space can better the life of the user.

Growing up in a creative household, I learned to appreciate good design at an early age. When I realized this was unique, I went back to school to learn how to share it with the world.

I have a diverse background, an accountant by trade and an MFA in Interior Design. I am passionate about cultivating a culture of a well-lived and well-loved life through authentic spaces.

I am excited about my future as an interior designer. The balance of creativity and practicality is a fabulous way to integrate my intuitive design skills and professional background into a well rounded design career!

elementChoose your adventure and find your Element. Element is the future of adventure travel.

The Element hotel concept allows travelers to choose their adventure by extracting their hotel room from the base hotel and placing it one of seventeen pre-selected off site locations. Each location offers a range of terrain from ski to sun to surf. Any way you choose, the experience will be unique.

PROGRAMMING

Element Hotel was modelled after the Periodic Table of Elements.

Our team designed a program to fit within the building shape allowing for plenty of guest suites and amenities. Each guest room, or capsule, can be easily removed from the main hotel and returned. The continuous extraction of capsules contributes to the ever changing façade of the building. At night, the voided units left from the extracted capsules are illuminated with a soothing glow.

Keskeinen Kirjasto (The Central Library) is a celebration of Finnish design history and a commemoration of being awarded the 2012 Design Capital of the World.

Keskeinen Kirjasto will function as library as well as a space for the community to collaborate, educate and participate in Helsinki’s vast offering of cultural richness. We have designed a library that we hope will serve as a cultural hub, in a technological and physical way.

COMPLETED PROJECTSChicago, Illinois Kitchen & Dining Room Rehabilitation

Job Description:

A small condominium in a historic Chicago walk up needed a major face lift. The kitchen was gutted and replaced with modern appliances, dark cabinetwork and granite counter tops. A once hidden brick wall was exposed in the dining room and juxtaposed with a “Hollywood glam” dining room set and light fixture.

Anatomy of Motion was based on the idea of zoomscape on the 3600 block of North Hermitage Ave. in Chicago, IL. A series of studies was completed focusing on the speed of passersby, the volume of their voice and the density of light. The following pages document the visual representation of these studies.
