Die McDonnell Douglas DC-10 – Der Dreistrahler wird 50

Am 29. August 1970 hob die erste von insgesamt 446 gebauten DC-10 zu ihrem Jungfernflug ab. Zum Jubiläum des Dreistrahlers wird Herpa im Laufe des Jahres verschiedene DC-10-Modelle in klassischen Bemalungen der 1970er und 1980er Jahre anbieten. Nach der Ankündigung der Alitalia DC-10 (Art-Nr. 534277) folgt jetzt ein Modell der Northwest Orient Airlines, die mit zweitweise über 40 Exemplaren eine der größten Betreiber des Musters gewesen ist.

The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 – The Tri-jet turns 50

On August 29, 1970, the first of a total of 446 built DC-10s took off on its maiden flight. To commemorate the anniversary of the tri-jet, Herpa will be offering different DC-10 models in classic liveries of the 1970s and 1980s throughout 2020. Following the Alitalia DC-10 – item no. 534277 – the next DC-10 up is a model of Northwest Orient Airlines, one of the largest operators of the type with at times more than 40 aircraft in its fleet.

Die Qantas Jubiläumsserie zum 100.Herpa feiert das 100-jährige Bestehen der australischen Airline mit einer kleinen Serie von Modellen aus verschiedenen Epochen ihrer Geschichte. Nach der Boeing 707 in der klassischen „V-Jet“ Bemalung (Art.Nr. 534154) folgt nun ein Modell der ersten Boeing 767 bei Qantas in der kurz vor Lieferung des Zweistrahlers eingeführten neuen Bemalung der 1980er Jahre.

The Qantas Centenary SeriesHerpa is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Australian airline with a small series of models from different eras of its history. Following the Boeing 707 in its classic “V-Jet” livery – item no. 534154 – a model of Qantas’ first Boeing 767 is now announced, sporting the new color scheme of the 1980s introduced shortly before the delivery of the first twin-jet.
