About the Course
The presence a teacher brings to their learning environment, and the way they manage their emotions within that setting, is central to the success of learning. The development of emotional intelligence can enhance the technical expertise and teaching methods offered to learners, and increase the connection between teacher and student. Emotional Intelligence for Teachers is a practical
course that looks at how teachers can develop their
use of emotional intelligence within learning
environments. Participants will identify the qualities
of emotionally intelligent teachers, reflect on their
own capabilities in this area and develop a plan for
improving their teaching practice.
Who is the Training For?
Emotional Intelligence for Teachers is ideal for
teachers wanting to build self-awareness of
emotionally intelligent behaviours to improve their
teaching practice.
The course is accredited for all teaching levels and
Principals, and contributes to AITSL standards 3.3,
3.5, 4.1, 4.2, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1 and 7.3.
About Your Trainer
Scott Monson is an experienced trainer with qualifications in workplace counselling and organisational coaching. Scott delivers a wide range of courses and seminars related to emotional intelligence, social intelligence, mental health, stress management and resilience in the workplace. He has also been an invited speaker at several national management conferences.
Scott’s qualifications include a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a Diploma of Counselling (Majors in Workplace and Career Counselling) and Level 2 Organisational Coaching.
