S t .Apollinaris Hospital hosted the breaseeding campaign at Sokhela Clinic, Donnybrook locaon on Friday, 07 August 2015. KwaZulu-Natal Department of health declared 1-7 of August as Breastfeeding week on the health calendar, therefore all provincial health Institutions are expected to mark or promote this campaign. Staff mem- bers educated the public about the significance of breastfeeding and re-emphasize the exclusive breastfeeding. Most of community members found it very interesng to take part in the campaign. It emerged that our commu- nity members were educated about breaseeding, nevertheless some are reluctant to breaseed their babies due to some misconcepons. Health educaon was given by various speakers from the Department of health and quesons were asked to as- sess the level of understanding. Most of them understood the importance of breaseeding, seemingly they pracced it . Mrs. P.P. Gasa -Primary Health care Manager gave the key note address about the purpose of the day and inter- acted with the Community Members about Exclusive Breaseeding. She was very impressed to observe that most of them do aend to Phila Mntwana Centres. St.Apollinaris Hospital : Maternity Staff members also offered educaonal talk on Breaseeding at OPD depart- ment. They communicated the message in the form of drama. The out-paents were very keen to take part on the educaonal talk. Staff members from the Department of health collected road to health cards from mothers of the Children. This was done to verify those aending clinics well. Some Mothers were given the token of appreciaon to encour- age them to connue with good work. Mrs. LV Sakyiamah Hospital Manager offered the vote of thanks to all Mothers and Community at large. She en- couraged them to visit the clinic regularly to ensure a beer healthy life style for their babies. She advised them to aend Phila Mntwana Centers so that their children will not be exposed to Malnutrion for no good reason. calendar, therefore all provincial health Institutions are expected to mark or promote this campaign. Staff mem-

bers educated the public about the significance of breastfeeding and re-emphasize the exclusive breastfeeding.
