Thriving in Times of Change
“The pipeline that supplies the educated workforce is chock-full of women at the entry level, but by the time that same pipeline is filling leadership positions, it is overwhelmingly stocked with men.”
- - Sheryl Sandberg
Strategies for Keeping Young Women in the Pipeline
• Equip them with business and career development skills from the start, ensure they have a variety of paths to success and understand these paths
• Rotate them into positions where they can meet and learn from those just a few steps ahead, provide tracks to leadership via targeted initiatives until a critical mass of women are represented at all levels of leadership
• Transparency in pay equity and advancement of women in the company
• Ensure influential leaders form sponsorship relationships with female talent; everyone learns from this
• Ensure access to role models who take diverse approaches to career, business development and leadership
