During challenging times, it’s very important to take stock of the resources we have to head off a crisis or get through an emergency. As part of your Cleveland Clinic employee total rewards package, which includes all of your benefits and career and pay opportunities, you have access to a number of valuable resources that can: n Help with personal issues. The CONCERN Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free, confidential, short-term counseling for employees and their families. The EAP addresses issues including family and marital problems, as well as legal or financial difficulties. When employees consider using the EAP, they should know that their privacy is guaranteed and governed by HIPAA. Also, EAP records are not part of an employee’s personnel file or their medical records. n Provide financial planning and short-term budgeting assistance. Fidelity Investments, Cleveland Clinic’s savings plan administrator, can help employees with retirement planning and shorter term needs such as budget and cash-flow management. During challenging times, it’s very important to take stock of the resources we have to head off a crisis or get through an emergency. As part of your Cleveland Clinic employee total rewards package, which includes all of your benefits and career and pay opportunities, you have access to a number of valuable resources that can:

n Help with personal issues.

Fidelity offers online tools, phone consultation, as well as the opportunity for face-to-face discussions in their local offices located in Westlake and Beachwood, and at work during specific times throughout the year.

n Promote good health and stress management. The Employee Wellness Program makes available several fun and rewarding programs that support the wellbeing

of our bodies and minds, and most of these – including the run/walk programs, Sunrise/Sunset Yoga and Shape Up & Go! – are free or reasonably-priced. Employees who are members of the Employee Health Plan (EHP) also can join Weight Watchers or Curves for free or take advantage of free smoking cessation treatment.

n Help with a serious financial emergency. The Employee Hardship Account was established to help employees across the system get assistance from Cleveland Clinic if they are in crisis and can’t meet financial obligations, such as making basic needs payments for rent or electricity, heat, gas or water services that are in danger of being shut off, or for eviction/foreclosure of their home. This program is in addition to other emergency fund programs – the PTO Hardship Fund available across the system and the Employee Care Fund, a program for employees at our regional hospitals.

n Address your spiritual needs. Each hospital within our health system offers pastoral care services that support spiritual values and provide comfort during difficult times.

At work, you can access the employee wellbeing resources, including telephone numbers and links to web sites, from the Human Resources homepage. At work or home you can access them from Cleveland Clinic Benefits – our benefits portal. The next page provides the contact information for these resources.

News about the economy continues to be troubling. In addition to our

everyday concerns, we now face financial worries ranging from paying

our mortgage to the security of our loved ones’ jobs.
